Carrot Halwa | Indian Sweet Dish

Carrot halwa is also known as a gajar ka halwa, Gajrela is a sweet dessert pudding from India and Pakistan.

Carrot Halwa

Ingredients for Carrot Halwa:

  1. 8-10 carrots
  2. 3 big spoon butter
  3. 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  4. 3/4 cup sugar/ honey
  5. 5-6 sliced almonds
  6. 5-6 cashew nuts
  7. 10-15 raisins
  8. Grated mawa/khoya
  9. 4-5 cups chopped pistachio

How To Make Carrot Halwa:

  • Take a microwave proof bowl and melt a butter and grated carrot in that.
  • Now mingle cardamom powder in that and in a microwave on high cook for 5 minutes then add sugar or honey and mix and cook for 2 minutes.
  • After that add almond, cashew, raisins, and khoya ( remain some for garnishing)
  • Then cook for 2 minutes in the microwave, Take it out and garnish it with some almonds, pistachio and with cashew nuts. Serve. Enjoy!!
